About Us
Southwest Artisans' Cooperative (SAC) was founded and organized April 18, 2007 by Richard Hillman, Lessandra Grimley, and Norma Sigretto. All three artists live in the tri-state areas of Arizona, Nevada and California. Seeing a need for a place where local artists could gather to display and sell their artwork, they found a location in Bullhead City on Highway 95; and in July 2007 they opened to the public.
The Southwest Artisans’ Cooperative Art Gallery was open from July 2007 to July 2008. During that time, SAC expanded from eight members to twenty-one members, with a wonderfully diverse display of oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings, pottery, one-of-a-kind jewelry, sculpture, stained glass, prints, note cards, and mosaic artwork.
Since closing their doors in July 2008 SAC has been actively putting on art shows and art exhibits; and October 24-25 2009 they had their 3rd Annual Southwest Artisans' Cooperative Art Marketplace at the Laughlin Ranch in Bullhead City.
